Precision, Comfort & Quality with the Latest Technology

While skill is an important key to creating show-stopping artwork, the right equipment is necessary to execute an artist’s vision. For that reason, board-certified prosthodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics Lisa Kane, DDS, MS, FACP uses only the best commercial dental laboratories here in the USA. These labs utilize only FDA-certified materials as well as the latest in digital dental technology.

Digital Impressions

While traditional putty impressions can get the job done, they don’t capture as much detail as a digital impression system can. This wand-like device can be waved around the mouth to create a detailed blueprint of your oral structure that we can use to handcraft your prosthetics precisely to fit between existing teeth, onto dental implants, or atop the gumline. The detail captured by this software helps our team create replacement teeth that stay secure within the mouth and allow them to function and feel natural.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a pen-shaped device with a camera on the end of it. We can move the instrument around the mouth to view hard-to-see areas that aren’t as visible to the naked eye. The footage and still images can be displayed on a large chairside monitor, allowing us to show patients exactly what we are looking at and how we plan to address it. Not only does this instrument help us with patient education, but it makes each of our oral examinations more detailed and thorough.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays work similarly to a camera, making images immediately viewable by your prosthodontist and dental team. Once captured, they provide our team with high-quality images of the area of your mouth that are below your gumline, helping us see any signs of gum disease, infections and jawbone deterioration. This allows us to identify whether you will require preparatory treatments before your prosthetic procedure.
